KESC to produce electricity via Coal

Karachi: An agreement between KESC and Chinese company to convert two units of KESC into coal plants has been finalized, ARY news reported.

An agreement between KESC’s investment company “K energy Limited” and China’s Harbin Electric International has been signed for Bin Qasim power station no. 1’s two units. After the conversion the units will be able to produce electricity from coal. The project will be completed in 30 months. Via this project Karachi would be able to get cheap electricity.

According to KESC, “K energy limited” has been specially formulated for electricity production via coal.
