Khan seeks mid-term polls; we tend to change system: Qadri

TOP NEWS

The statement was made during his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) leaders, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Ilahi here on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both the sides emphasized on the implementation of the resolution of an all parties conference (APC) convened by Dr Tahir ul Qadri on June 30, following the Model Town tragedy.

The PAT chief said that the program of Day of Martyrs on August 10 will be peaceful and if the Government tried to suppress PAT workers by any illegal step, then it will be similar to inviting thousands of masses to ‘Jati Umra’ for staging a protest there.

He told that the transporters are being pressurized not to rent out their vehicles.

Qadri warned the rulers saying ‘oppress the people to an extent, which you can also tolerate’. He also asked the police officials to abide by the constitution, not to obey Sharif brothers.

The anti-government cleric claimed that the current rulers will not last till August 31.

Moreover, he said, ‘the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has the agenda of mid-term elections, while we tend to change the system of the country’.
