Addressing the fund-raising ceremony of Shaukat Khanum Hospital here on Saturday, Imran Khan said that a country with class system, injustice and atrocities being carried out on the people, cannot move on.
He told that Shaukat Khanum Hospital fulfilled the promise of providing same medical facilities to the rich and the poor, while 75 percent of the patients are being treated here free of cost.
Khan said that Rs 3.6 billion will be required for the treatment of poor and helpless patients this year, while the hospital will also be operational in Peshawar from next year.
Earlier to this, the CEO of Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Dr Faisal Sultan briefed the attendees on the performance of the hospitals and the challenges faced by it.
