Khan’s announcement: Islamabad administration issues red-alert

Islamabad administration issued a red-alert immediately after the announcement of entering into red zone, by Imran Khan. Local administration directed the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to form three security layers around the red zone.

Sources told that the administration has decided not to let anyone enter into the red zone, while the first security layer will be consisting on the personnel of the Islamabad and Punjab Police, while the second to comprise on Rangers and FC men.

It was further reported that the Pakistan Army troops will be there forming the third layer ensuring in-depth security of the important buildings and offices.

Moreover, sources told that the government has also ordered positioning of snipers at sensitive places in the red zone.

Earlier, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Imran Khan had vowed to lead the participants of the Azadi March into the ‘red zone’ of Islamabad tomorrow and to stage a protest demonstration outside the Parliament House.
