Kidnappings: Balochistan CM meets PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed concern over kidnapping of the sons of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, late Governor Salman Taseer and Awami National Party leader Arbab Kansi.
Talking to a parliamentary delegation led by Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said maintenance of law and order in the country is the foremost priority of the government.
He emphasized the need for concerted effort to ensure maintenance of law and order.
The prime minister assured the delegation that he will take personal interest in recovery of ANP leader Arbab Abdul Zahir Kansi.
The Prime Minister said he is also concerned over the kidnapping of the sons of former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani and late Governor Salman Taseer.
He said he will direct heads of all intelligence agencies to make concerted efforts to recover them as soon as possible.
Earlier, Balochistan Chief Minister sought assistance of the Prime Minister in recovery of Leader of Awami National Party Arbab Abdul Zahir Kansi and eradication of the menace of kidnapping for ransom in the province.
