Kismat Baig murder case accused sent to jail
LAHORE: A local court in Lahore on Saturday sent four suspects in the murder of actress Kismat Baig to jail, ARY News reported.
Police produced four accused Abid, Habib, Rizwan and Azam before the court for hearing of murder case of local stage acress Kismat Baig.
The judge after hearing the arguments ordered the identification parade of the accused and sent them to jail. The court adjourned the hearing till 23rd December.
Kismat Baig was shot dead in Lahore on 23rd November.
Earlier, Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested four accused Rana Muzammil, Rana Faheem, Rana Tajammul and Shahid in raids in Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
Rana Muzammil, one of the four accused in the case, told police officials that they was given Rs 5,00,000 only to injure the actress over a professional enmity.
Kismat Baig reportedly refused to perform in a show in Faisalabad following which “the promoter hired us to teach her a lesson,” said Muzammil and added that their intention was only to injure her.
CCPO Lahore, in a press conference on Friday, had claimed that all the suspects in the case have been arrested.
