According to an Indian news agency, Kohli’s brother Vikas said he would discuss with his brother the prospect of requesting the Pakistan government to exonerate Virat’s Pakistani fan named Umar Draz who was sentenced to 10 years for hoisting an Indian flag.

Vikas said that he would seek his sibling’s views on Friday and would consult the right people whether to approach the Pakistani government on the matter or not.

Draz arrested for hoisting the flag of arch rival India on his roof, an act police described as “anti-state” but which the accused says was a tribute to Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli.
