Kolhi’s Pakistani fan granted bail

Umar Daraz was arrested on January 25, India’s republic day, for hoisting Indian national flag on the rooftop of his house in in a village Okara district.

A local court had earlier rejected his bail petition. The advocates of the arrested youth, later applied for bail in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Asadullah Siraj.

The court judge after examining the case files and hearing arguments of the lawyers, admitted Daraz’s bail plea and ordered him to furnish a surety bond worth Rs 50,000.

By the time the hearing finished, the court time had ended so Daraz will submit the bond on Saturday and get bail.

Daraz was celebrating Kohli’s knock of 90 not out, which set up India’s 37-run win in the first of three Twenty20 matches against Australia.
