KP Assembly demands exemplary punishment to perpetrators of Kasur child abuse

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in a unanimously passed resolution against the Kasur child sexual abuse in Punjab termed the incident more harrowing than the Army Public School massacre.

The house chaired by Speaker Assad Qaisar, demanded the federal government to direct the government of Punjab to serve exemplary punishment to perpetrators.

The resolution was tabled by Pakistan Peoples Party lawmaker Nighat Orakzai and received widespread support from opposition and government members.

The house unanimously passed the resolution.

The assembly also criticized prolonged power outages in the province.
