PESHAWAR: The Home Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Akhter Ali Shah has said that the preparations of the Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) have been completed in order to prevent terrorist activities in the province – ARY News reports.
The Home Secretary told that the ATF will comprise of 2500 personnel, all retired army-men, whereas a budget of Rs 628 million has been approved for counter-terrorism.
The newly formed ATF will be provided 300 GSM jammers, 25 metal detectors, 16 communication jammers, 1760 new check posts, 60 specially trained dogs and Rs 773-842 million for joint police training, told Akhter Ali Shah.
Moreover, the Home Secretary stated that 7 bullet proof rostrums will also be provided to the ATF, for 7 different districts of the province.
