KP Gov't forms high-level committee for North Waziristan IDPs
PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has formed a four member high level committee to take care of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in case of a possible military operation in North Waziristan tribal region – ARY News reports.
According to official sources, the committee is comprised of the Home Secretary KP, Secretary Law and Order FATA, DG PDMA and DG FBMA. The IDPs migrating from North Waziristan will be registered at six different places, whereas an IDPs camp will be formed for them in Bannu.
Sources told that some 3 lac masses are expected to migrate from North Waziristan in realm of an offensive in the vicinity.
Moreover, the district administration of Bannu will be taking precautionary measures to insure law and order in case of the arrival of IDPs here.
