KP Govt stops Malala's book launch

PESHAWAR: Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) stopped the book launch of Malala Yousufzai "I Am Malala" in the Peshawar University here on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), ruling party in the KP Government, Imran Khan stated on a social media website that that he is unaware of the happeining and claimed that his party believes in the freedom of speech.

On the other hand, Bakhtawar and Aseefa Bhutto, daughters of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, have condemned the incident and demanded that a ban should be enforced in Sindh on Imran Khan's book in retaliation.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Raabta Committee (RC) has also condemned the actions of KP Government and said that it was equivalent to stop the readers to know the truth.
