KSE 100 Index loses 332.29pts

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 Index witnessed severe decline on Monday losing 332.29 points with the negative change of 1.23 per cent ending the day at 26670.60  points, ARY News reported.

High and Low were 27051.49 and 26586.17 respectively.

Total volume traded in the market was 268,846,298 and in terms of value it was 11,554,195,987.

Total traded companies were 423, among them 269 advanced, 143 declined while 11 went unchanged.

Media Times Ltd, K.E.S.C., Azgard Nine were the top traded companies with the volume 18,068,500, 14,309,500 and 9,392,500 respectively.

Nestle Pak., Island Textile and Murree Brewery were top three advancers while Rafhan Maize, Unilever Foods and Wyeth Pak Ltd were top three decliners.

Following the record making progress during the last 3-4 months, KSE 100-Index witnessed the extreme decline of 332.29 points. Analysts claimed that news about the operation against Taliban have sidelined the investors while conflicts between the major players of market is another reason of decline.
