KSE 100-Index slumps for second consecutive day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 Index closed the trading day with the decline of  280.41 points on Friday, ARY News reported.

KSE 100-Index suspended on 29069.93 points with the negative change of 0.96 per cent.     

High and Low were 29578.33 and 29018.27 respectively.

Total volume traded in the market was 297,817,693 and in terms of value it was 15,502,331,463.

Total traded companies were 389, among them 197 advanced, 172 declined while 20 went unchanged.

Banking stocks which have been rallying for the last few sessions and the oil sector also witnessed some selling pressure.

Oil and Gas Development Co Ltd (OGDCL) fell 1.41 per cent to 256.50 rupees. National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) was down 5 per cent to 58.15 rupees.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 17,191,500 and price per share of 7.15 (0.03), National Bank. XD with a volume 16,323,000 of price per share of 58.15 (-3.06), Maple Leaf Cement with a volume 14,864,500 of price per share of 30.36 (0.62)
