KARACHI: A professor of Karachi University has been suspended for harassing a female teacher on internet, ARY News reported.
Farhan Kamrani, a professor at the Pyschology Department of the varsity, is charged for using abusive language against a female professor of a private university. Kamrani is also facing charges of posting immoral pictures on a webpage connected to the complainant.
The lady professor later lodged a complaint with cyber crime cell of FIA and subsequently action was taken against the professor.
FIR 36/216 has been registered against the professor. The FIA officials say thay have the proofs against the professor.
They have sought further details from the university administration about Kamrani.
According to the Facebook profile page of the KU professor, he has studied psychology at the University of Karachi and worked with the Sindh Police as psychologist.
One of the pictures he shared on his profile shows him possessing four different passports including one of China, Malaysia and India.
