LONDON: Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, has been discharged from a hospital in London where she was undergoing treatment.
Her daughter, Maryam Nawaz, announced on micro-blogging site Twitter, saying that her mother is fine and is recovering at home. “Ami is better, discharged from the hospital & back home,” she wrote.
She also said that her mother will undergo further treatment including chemotherapy next week. Kulsoom Nawaz was recently diagnosed with a curable form of lymphoma.

Kulsoom Nawaz was suddenly admitted to hospital on September 27 where doctors stabilised her condition. She has undergo three operation so far.
Yesterday, her son Hassan Nawaz has said that his mother is recovering in hospital and requested prayers or her. He said that her mother will have to visit the hospital until her health improves. He also said that there are no plans for Nawaz Sharif to return to London, but might make frequent visits.
Ms. Nawaz won the NA-120 by-election in Lahore on September 17, but has been in London since last month after it was revealed that she was suffering from a curable form of cancer.
