KARACHI: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has announced to observe 'water holiday' in the metropolis due to lowering water level in Hub Dam- a source of water supply to Karachi.

Managing Director KWSB Qutubuddin Shiekh talking to media here said that the water crisis in city will further aggaravate from March, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The board had earlier warned the citizens  of an expected water crisis in the upcoming days due to drop in water level at the Hub Dam catchment area.

The city had two water sources – Dhabeji and the Hub Dam.

The water level of the Hub Dam has drastically reduced and this has put extra pressure on the Dhabeji pumping station.
