In Lahore, a gas leak from a cold storage caused as many as 150 people to be unconscious. Multiple people also fainted as a result of the gas leak. According to the Advisor on Health of Punjab peovince, owner of the cold storage has been arrested and a case has been registered against him.
The gas leakage took place in Lahore’s Badami Bagh area, where gas started emanating as a pipeline burst. The leakage casued more than 150 people to be unconscious, among them women and children, as many also fainted on the spot. These people were immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq visited the hospital to call on the affected people. He said that due action in accordance with the law and order would be taken against those who were responsible for the incident.
On the other hand, after a struggle for several hours, rescue officials repaired the damaged pipeline and stated that the area was clear.
