LAHORE: A biker was killed after being hit by a police van in a Lahore locality early on Thursday, ARY News reported.
According to rescue sources, the accident happened near Lari Adda. The deceased was identified as Shehryar.
The police personnel fled the spot of the incident, leaving a rifle there. The body was shifted to Mayo Hospital Lahore for autopsy.
Later, the deceased’s heirs and residents of the locality placed the body on the road and staged protest demonstration against the police. They set fire to tyres and blocked traffic.
The protesters demanded action against the police personnel involved in the incident.
