Addressing a large public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, Qureshi said Lahore had shown mirror to the rulers [with their attendance in massive numbers in the rally].

The PTI leader said Lahore showed its strength on March 23, 1940 with spirit of Pakistan Resolution. Similarly, it spoke on October 30, 2011. Comes March, 23, 2013, Lahore decided in favour of the ‘bat’, the electoral symbol of PTI.

Again, Lahore came to life on August 14, 2014 on launching of ‘Azadi March’ towards Islamabad.

He posed three questions to the rally participants.

1- Given the current dismal state of affairs in Pakistan, do you accept this Pakistan?

2- The current ruling elite – be it Nawaz Sharif or Asif Ali Zardari – is governing in Pakistan. Do you accept them?

3- These political parties haven’t given you anything since they came to power. Do you still believe in them?

He asked rally participants to back Imran to bring real change in Pakistan. He stressed participants to shout ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan, before winding up his speech.
