FAISALABAD: 3805 candidates from the city have filed their nomination papers for the Local Bodies (LB) Elections to be held on 30th January across Punjab, ARY News reports on Thursday.
4498 candidates will be elected when more than 36 lac voters will cast their votes for 346 Union Councils (UC) in the Faisalabad district.
157 candidates will contest the polls for City Councils. The district council will be formed on 189 UCs.
City Saddar, Chak Jhumra, Jaranwala, Tandlianwala and Samandri are included in the six tehsils of the district.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has appointed 51 Returning Officers (ROs) for the polls in the district.
