LB Elections: No chance of holding polls for three years, says Rana

LAHORE: Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah has said that there is no chance of the Local Bodies (LB) Elections to be held in Punjab for the next three years, ARY News reports on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference at the cafeteria of Punjab Assembly, he said that the election schedule was finished just as the delimitations were declared void. He added that holding the polls is the responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). 

Rana Sanaullah added that all assistance will be required from persons who have good relations with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

While speaking on the treason case against former President and Army Chief General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf, he said that an investigation should be made as to who places explosives near the residence of the former Army Chief.

"There is no confusion that who is the Billa (Tom Cat)", he added.

Further speaking on Musharraf, Rana Sanaullah said the he had sympathy on Musharraf but it is important for him to be indicted for the supremacy of the law.
