LB Elections will be further delayed, says Qureshi
LAHORE: Shah Mehmood Qureshi, central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that he does not see the Local Bodies (LB) Elections happening on the announced dates, ARY News reports.
Speaking at a press conference here at the Lahore Press Club, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the LB Elections will be further delayed if new census is held. He claimed that no preparations are being made for the polls and the Government is only using its tricks.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while talking on the Kalabagh Dam issue, said that PTI will only do what's best for the state.
Further speaking the PTI official added that the Federal Government should call an All-Party Conference (APC) and seek political approval from the parties to form a policy regarding a military operation in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
He warned the Federal Government that new problems will arise if the Khyber Pakhtunwa (KP) province is not taken into confidence before launching a military offensive in FATA. He alleged that the Parliament is procrastinating the drone issue.
