ISLAMABAD: The government on Tuesday informed Supreme Court that the federal government was not prepared for local bodies election in Cantonment Boards, ARY News reported.
Additional Attorney General Shah Khawar during hearing of the case regarding local bodies polls in cantonment boards, said that holding polls in February is impossible as the government was not prepared for it.
Justice Azmat Saeed ordered the election commission to get the date of local bodies elections from the Ministry of Defence in writing.
The court adjourned the hearing till January 09.
