Two suspects involved in providing medical aid to ‘injured terrorists’ caught

The counter terrorism department arrested two suspects of a banned outfit during a raid in Valika area of SITE. Weapons were also recovered from their possession.

The arrested suspects were said to sponsor medical treatments of injured members of proscribed terror organisations.

Meanwhile, police arrested five suspected criminals from Saudabad area . Weapons and drugs were also seized from the arrested suspects.

Separately, Khokharapar Police nabbed three persons including two suspected street criminals in a raid while Preedy Police carried out raids in different parts of Saddar area and collared five persons.

On the other hand, Rangers carried out a search operation at Liaquatabad’s Jhanda Chowk area and took three persons into their custody.

The law enforcement agencies raided Ranchore Line area and arrested a worker of a political party.

Pakistan Rangers Sindh had claimed to have arrested at least 4,074 suspected criminals during a total number of 2,410 raids and operations conducted last year.

According to Rangers spokesperson, out of the 4,074 arrested, 2,198 were formally handed over to police for persecution.

“Those handed over to police included 887 terrorists, 268 target killers, 97 extortionists and 49 kidnappers.”
