KARACHI: Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon while expressing sympathy over the death of the workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has said that forcing closure of businesses and arson attacks are terrorism, ARY News reported on Friday.
Talking to media outside Sindh Assembly building, the information minister said that around 70 miscreants have been arrested for forcing shutdown of shops and other businesses in the city.
Sindh information minister said that the law enforcement agencies are denying arrest of the MQM workers and an investigation team has been constituted to trace the terrorists involved in these killings.
Sharjeel Memon said that several gangs of terrorists have been involved in killings in Karachi, which forced the federal and provincial governments to launch a targeted operation against the criminals in the city.
He said, the chief minister and he have talked to the Governor of Sindh and MQM leaders and those involved in these killings will be arrested soon.
