LEAs step up security operations in Balochistan
MASTUNG: Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) have stepped up operations against terrorists and criminals as 20 alleged extremists were apprehended on Friday, ARY News reports.
The operations are being supervised by the Chief Minister of Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch. The decision of carrying out the operations was made in a key meeting yesterday.
LEAs have also stepped up its activities against the terrorists. A large scale search operation was carried out at Mastung district. According to a spokesman of Frontier Constabulary (FC), heavy contingents of security forces carried out a door to door raid at Diringarh and Kank after sealing the area.
All the entry and exit routes of the city have been sealed.
Frontier Corps have also cleared the towns of Diringarh, Kamatakht, Nawazaan and Bashaam.
A search operation was carried out by security forces at Panjgur area of Wadbosh. An exchange of fire was witnessed between armed persons and the LEAs. A spokesman of the FC claimed that a grenade attack was also carried out against the force.
