At least 3 injured as Afghan forces shell into Pakistani territory

WANA: At least three people were injured as mortar shells were fired into Pakistani territory by Afghan forces on Saturday – ARY News reports.

Sources told that mortar shells were fired in Angoor Adda area of Wana, largest town of South Waziristan Agency in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), due to which 3 people were injured, who were shifted to the hospital, where they were reported to be out of danger.

These mortar shells were fired by Afghan National Army soldiers, deployed near the Pak-Afghan border, soon after the incident a wave of fear swept across the vicinity.

This is not the first time when Afghan army shelled inside Pakistan's territories as on Sept 24 last year, Afghan forces had fired 6 mortar shells that landed deep inside South Waziristan Agency, killed two persons and hurt four others.

Afghan National Army had fired these shells on civilians at Bangi-Dar area of tehsil Ghulam Khan (last Pakistani town on border with Afghanistan).
