At least 30 militants killed in PAF bombing

MIRANSHAH: At least thirty terrorists were killed in air strikes launched by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in different areas of North and South Waziristan tribal regions on early Tuesday, ARY News reports.

PAF Jet fighters pound North and South Waziristan:

According to sources, fighter jets of PAF bombed the area of Ladha in South Waziristan. More than thirty terrorists were killed in the air strike.

PAF planes also bombed the Datta Khel area of Miranshah in North Waziristan in which six militants were killed.

Curfew in North Waziristan:

Political administration has imposed a curfew in North Wazristan from 06:00 am to 06:00 pm.

No decision of operation yet:

Sources of the federal government have said that the government has not yet decided to launch a military offensive in North Waziristan. They added that the locals and tribes are migrating to safer areas on their own consent.

It was further said that the people will be given the status of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) only after the official announcement of a military operation in the region. 

The federal government will take all the necessary steps for the assistance of IDPs.

Pakistan Air Force is carrying out air strikes in North Waziristan after the negotiation process came to a halt after Taliban Mohmand Chapter claimed to kill 23 Frontier Corps personnel.
