At least 37 killed in Khyber Agency air strikes

KHYBER AGENCY: At least 37 militants were reported to be killed, whilst several were injured during an operation by the security forces in Khyber Agency on Thursday – ARY News reports.

According to details, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) launched a joint operation against militants in Khyber Agency, during which several hideouts were pounded by PAF jets.

Security forces acted after an intelligence tip-off, that some key militants are taking a shelter in the agency, who were also reported to be involved in Islamabad Fruit Market Attack and attacks on police and security forces in Charsadda and Peshawar.

After confirming of the information provided, PAF jets targeted militant hideouts, killing 37 miscreants and injuring several others.

Moreover, several depots of arms and ammunition were also destroyed during the air strikes.
