Leisure Leagues Season III underway in Karachi

KARACHI: Hasan Raza scored two goals to help North Muslim Football Club record a 2-1 victory against Nexus Football Club in Leisure Leagues Season III football event here at a local ground here.

Mohammad Huzaifa scored a consolatory goal for Nexus FC in the match for the losing side.

Meanwhile, the match between Vulcan FC and The Vikings ended in a goalless draw. The match between Sir Syed FC and RF United also ended in a goalless draw.

In another match of the league at 16-Star FC, Zaim FC received a walkover against FC Spartan. According to the rule books of Leisure Leagues, a team which receives a walkover is considered to have won the match by 5-0.

In another league underway at Karachi United Football Stadium, Targaryens FC overpowered KDA Football Club by 3-0 score. Mohammad Ammar scored two goals while Uzair scored one goal for the winners.

Façade FC thrashed Joga Bonito by 2-0 scored. Raheed scored two goals.

En Fuego overpowered Iqbal Memorial FC by 3-1 score. Abdullah, Mohammad Sami and Mohammad Ammar scored one goal each for the winning team. Mohammad Waqar scored a consolatory goal for the losing side.

Leisure Leagues Season III comprised three different leagues underway at Karachi United Football Ground and 16-Star Football Ground. Eight teams are participating in each league. Matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays.

In all, a total of 24 teams – comprising of 240 players are engaged in Leisure Leagues Season III in three different league events. The Leisure Leagues’ matches are seven-a-side affairs but teams are allowed rotate three substitution players.
