Let Pakistan, democracy function, Bilawal asks ‘all forces’
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday asked all the forces in the country to let Pakistan and democracy function.
“I want to give message to all the forces that please stop it now. Let the democracy and this country run. We are too fatigued. We have been on a long struggle. We have given a lot of sacrifices,” he said talking to media in an event held in connection with golden jubilee of PPP’s foundation day in Islamabad. He hoisted PPP flag and cut the cake on this occasion.
He asked how much more sacrifices were sought from them as they were ready for them as well. He gave a message on behald of the youth to those forces that “live up to our expectations in Pakistan”.
Bilawal said being a youth, the recent developments in Islamabad despaired him. He said the issue of the Islamabad sit-in protest should be brought before judicial commission.
He said the constitution and democracy in the country was because of the PPP. The PPP would continue working for strengthening of democracy, he said.
The PPP chairman said his party wanted the incumbent government to complete its tenure and general elections were held on time. He said the PPP would give Pakistan the youngest prime minister.
