LHC advises PM to reach out opponents

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday sought the details of the government steps to resolve the ongoing political turmoil, ARY News reported.

A bench of the LHC hearing petitions against the long march of Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI).

The bench asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to hold talks with political opponents for the welfare of the country. The bench advised the Prime Minister not to hesitate to reaching out the political rivals.

The bench asked the federal and Punjab governments to submit responses over the steps taken with regard to the PTI’s call for ‘Azadi March’ on independence day.
