LAHORE: In an unprecedented move, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has released his wealth statement and tax returns on Lahore High Court’s website.
This is the first time that any chief justice’s wealth statement has been made public on the high court’s website.
Mansoor Shah’s current net assets are worth Rs29,427,533. His assets increased by Rs104,024 in one year. While, he paid Rs1,643,000 tax in the last year.
According to the documents available for 2015-16, he owns two vehicles. He has furniture worth Rs0.2 million and jewelry worth Rs0.55 m. While, he owes Rs2.296 m to his relatives. The CJ also has to pay Rs0.3 m debt to a local bank.
