According to ARY News, the petition was filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafri in 1991 in the court, was dismissed by a five-member bench after 24 years today.
The petitioner in his plea claimed that Mian Nawaz Sharif has illegally transferred billions of rupees out of the country and also distributed plots of government land among his favorites.
He argued that Prime Minister Sharif not meets the criteria set for holding a public office in Article 62 and 63 of the constitution and sought his disqualification from the office.
The bench after hearing his arguments of Barrister Jafri dismissed the petition as non-maintainable.
