The court withheld the objections of the High Court Office over the petition and rejected the petition.

Petitioner Zubair Niazi had stated that court had issued orders to file cases against 21 persons, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, CM Punjab Shahbaz and several members of the federal cabinet, in the Model Town firing incident but no action was taken.

The court observed that the petitioner is not a party in the case therefore the petition is non maintainable.

On the other hand, Justice Mamoon excused himself from hearing petition seeking investigation of Model Town Incident from the Supreme Court of Pakistan and forwarded the case to CJ LHC. He remarked that he cannot hear the petition due to personal reasons.
