The court observed that, “We also want protection of people, hence the court cannot allow closure of the country”. The court issued these directives while hearing a petition against placement of containers on different points of Punjab by administration for security purpose.
Though the LHC said it allowed PTI to go on with its Azadi march under constitutional limits.
The PTI lawyer Ahmed Owais also said court did not bar the party from carrying out Azadi march. He added that decision on court’s verdict will be taken after consultation with party members.
