Life comes to a halt in Karachi, other Sindh cities

KARACHI: Shops and businesses were closed in Karachi and different parts of interior Sindh after Sindh Rangers raided Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine-Zero in wee hours on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Situation got worsened in Karachi and most parts of interior Sindh after Sindh Rangers raided Nine-Zero and arrested several activists from their early on Wednesday morning.

Fuel-pumps were closed in Hyderabad after arson and vandalism at different spots in the city. Business centers were shut down in Nawabshah, while some firing incidents were also reported in the city.

Similar condition was observed in Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Jamshoro, Kotri and other cities.

Karachi witnessed a complete shutterdown on the occasion, while the roads also remained desolate with almost no sign of a metro’s life.
