Last summer, pictures of Lindsay Lohan walking back from her community service with a copy of the Holy Quran in her hand certainly caused quite a stir around the world. While speculations were rife the actress had converted to Islam, Lohan chose to keep quiet about the photographs and did not say anything. However, one year after the episode, the actress chose to comment on those photographs and declared her fondness for Islam.

“America has portrayed holding a Koran in such a different way to what it actually is,” she said during a recent interview. “I’m a very spiritual person and I’m really open to learning,” she finished.

Lindsay Lohan also revealed how she had yet not completed the Holy Quran.

“I’m not done reading it. Do you know how long that would take? It takes so long,” she said.

Lohan cited the example of her younger sister who was a Buddhist and said that she did believe in a God or some higher, spiritual being.

“My sister is Buddhist, but she is interested in learning other things from me. It’s good to be open-minded. We all believe in something and at the end of the day, it all ties to a God or a spiritual adviser,” she disclosed.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan’s representative confirmed the actress was busy exploring religions.

“Lindsay has always been very spiritual and is open to exploring all religions and beliefs. She is simply educating herself on other peoples beliefs,” she said.
