The Indian Border Security Forces had been resorting to intermittently and indiscriminate firing on Pakistan side for last six days, thus inflicting casualties of civilians while a Pakistani soldier had also embraced martyrdom.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), military’s public affairs wing, Indian forces continued targeting civilians’ localities in Zafarwal and Shakargarh sectors with mortar shells and unprovoked firing. Punjab Rangers effectively responded to the Indian aggression and silenced their guns, the statement added.
In the latest offensive from India, four civilians were killed near the Sharkgarh sector of Silakot.
Punjab Rangers retaliated against the Indian attack and killed five Indian soldiers.
