The scrutiny of nomination papers for third phase of LG polls in Sindh and Punjab will begin from tomorrow to 13th of this month and final list of the candidates will be issued on the 17th of next month.
Twelve districts of Punjab will go for the local government elections in the third phase to fill the seats of Chairman, Vice Chairman and general members. The elections will be held in Layyah, Rajanpur, D.G. Khan, Muzzafargarh, Jhang, Khushab, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Narowal, Rahim Yaar Khan, Bahwalpur and Multan.
In Sindh, the Local Bodies polls will be held in Karachi West, Karachi East, Karachi South, Karachi Central, Korangi and Malir districts.
Polling for these elections will be held on 3rd December this year.
The Election Commission has said that the Returning Officers shall receive nomination papers from the contesting candidates even after office hours that is 04:00 p.m today provided the candidates will be present in the office premises.
