KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday said foundation for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital was laid down six years after he bought London flat, ARY News reported

“The flat, which was my only off-shore asset, was built six years before even the board of trust for the hospital was constituted,” he said responding to the allegation of having built London flat through Shaukat Khanum Hospital’s funds.

Imran denied his involvement in any corruption activity throughout his life.

“According to the recent International Anti-Corruption Conference, definition of corruption is to use the powers entitled to you for making money, while I have never been in power,” he said while talking to host of ARY News program Off The Record, Kashif Abbasi.

He said all this fuss started off after Panama Leaks discovered billions of rupee undeclared assets of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The PTI chief said investigations have been held all over the world into the Panamagate corruption scandal.

“In any developed country of the world, if undeclared assets of a public office-bearer are revealed, specially the ones which are made during public service, then he can no longer hold the office,” he said.
