LPG prices keeps on hiking for third consecutive day

KARACHI: The Marketing companies have hiked the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs. 20 per kg in three consecutive days while Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) remain silent over the increase, ARY News reported.

Chairman of All Pakistan Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar termed the continuous price raise as unjustified by saying that “the marketing company nowadays on a looting spree, increasing LPG prices on their free will, putting a challenge to the concerned authorities including the OGRA to come in action.”

Following the recent increase the price of LPG domestic cylinder had been hiked up by Rs 50 and commercial cylinder by Rs 200.

The price increase has been done without any government notification.

Irfan Khokhar told ARY News, the recent hike will not be effective for consumers of Karachi however an emergency meeting to decide the next course of action against the price hike on Wednesday.
