Gen. Janjua, Afghan commander discuss border security

RAWALPINDI/QUETTA: Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua on Thursday held a meeting with his Afghan counterpart and discussed with him affairs pertaining to security at Pak-Afghan border, ARY News reported.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua called on his Afghan counterpart in Afghanistan and discussed different security affairs with him including situation at the Pak-Afghan border.

Both the military commanders also discussed means to enhance coordination between the two forces at the border.

It was further reported that the Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Hidayat ur Rahman will also visit Afghanistan on January 18.

The ISPR further stated that the purpose of recent security visits is to promote confidence building process between the forces of the two neighborly states.
