LUMHS plans to establish Bilawal Medical College
Soon after a dynamic entry of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party in the political arena, Prof Dr Noshad A. Shaikh vice chancellor of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) announced to establish a medical college named after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Vice chancellor LUMHS in a statement said that Bilawal Medical College will be established to overcome the shortage of male doctors in 2015.The announcement came yesterday when National Testing Services (NTS) was conducting an entry test across 13 districts of Sindh. An official statement by the LUMHS states, that this was a matter of a serious concern as PMDC (Pakistan Medical and Dental Council) has put emphasis on the issue that seats allocated to medical students should be on an equal basis of 50-50 male and female candidates.
The total number of candidates appeared in the entry test are 5,297.
