ISLAMABAD: The mainstream political parties have apparently stepped up their pre-election campaign as three parties are all set to hold power shows in different cities of the country.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will address a public gathering today in Sangla Hill near Lahore city.

Sharif along with his daughter Maryam has recently held a string of rallies across the country, particularly in Punjab.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also address a public rally in Kotli Sattian area of Rawalpindi with regard to the party membership campaign.

On the flip side, the splinter groups of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will separately celebrate the party’s founding day in Karachi.

Dr Farooq Sattar led MQM-P’s PIB Colony will hold a gathering at Liaquatabad Flyover in the metropolis, while the Bahadurabad faction has finalized the arrangements for the event at Nishtar Park.

As the party membership drive is still underway ahead of General Elections 2018, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan will arrive in Karachi on two-day visit to oversee the party membership campaign in the city.

During his two-day stay, the PTI chairman will also pay visits to numerous party camps that are set up at various localities of the city.
