Malala condemns ‘senseless’ Lahore blast

KARACHI: Pakistan’s only Nobel-peace prize winner Malala Yousafzai condemned the Lahore suicide attack which claimed the lives of at least 72 people, ARY News reported.

At least 72 people lost their lives in a suicide explosion at Lahore’s Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park.

Malala Yousafzai, in her statement on the Twitter page of Malala Fund, stated that she was devastated by the senseless killing of innocent people in Lahore.

“My heart goes out to the victims and their families and friends. I condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms,” the statement read.

She also stated that, “We stand together with the families of the victims. Pakistan and the world must unite.”

The Nobel peace prize winner added that every life is precious and must be respected and protected.
