Malik claims unrest in Balochistan due to foreign forces

LAHORE: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has claimed that unrest in Balochistan is due to the foreign forces, whereas the situation worsened there after the killing of Nawab Akber Bugti by a military dictator – ARY News reports.

Addressing the program 'Meet the Press' at Lahore Press Club on Thursday, the CM Balochistan said that abandoning the NATO supply is not in favor of the country for doing so Pakistan will be cut off from rest of the world.

Speaking about Oil and Gas Companies, he stated that these companies are behaving worse with Balochistan, than the East India Company. He added that there are no jobs in these companies for the Baloch people, whereas many areas are deprived of gas facility.

Commenting on power theft in the province, the Chief Minister claimed that Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) forced people to do so as the electricity is being provided for an hour only.

He further granted Rs 10 lacs as donation to the Lahore Press Club, while he was also awarded a lifetime membership of the club on this occasion.
