President stresses on enhancing ties with Saudi Arabia in diverse fields

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Saudi Arabia and both the countries had always stood by each other in testing times.

“Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are tied in strong bonds of faith, history and culture,” he said while talking to Saudi Arabian Ambassador Nawaf Saeed al Maliki in Islamabad.

The president said that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were cooperating in various fields of life, which should be further strengthened.

Meanwhile, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed al Maliki called on Naval Chief Amdiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi in Islamabad the same day.

The naval chief highlighted Pakistan’s determination and performance against the war on terror.

He also shed light on the role of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign Plan and its operations to eradicate piracy in the sea.

The ambassador lauded Pakistan Navy’s role and resolve in ensuring maritime security of the region.
