GUJRAT: A man killed his grand daughter in Punjab province’s Gujrat district allegedly for expressing desire to marry her cousin, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
According to ARY News Gujrat correspondent, the man named Sirajuddin killed his grand daughter as the girl expressed desire to marry her cousin. “I could not bear this insult to my honour and spilled oil on her and burnt her,”Sirajuddin told ARY News.
The girl, an MA student, was brought to a nearby hospital which referred the case to CMH Kharian where the girl succumbed to her injuries and breathed her last.
The girl’s brother, mother and uncle are also under arrest.
